September 13, 2024 – Nashville, TN – Rising Country star and award-winning songwriter Ryan Larkins released the second track off of his upcoming EP Bones (PRE-SAVE) titled, “Home State,” available everywhere today (LISTEN). Following the release of his current single “Bones” (HERE), today’s track lands amidst an impressive string of knockouts for Larkins including a first-ever MusicRow Award for Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year, debut Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music nominations for Song of the Year and a debut Opry performance, his second invite back to the stage tonight, September 13th. Ryan shares, “This has been one of the most exciting seasons of my life, from performing on the Opry, receiving a MusicRow award, to my ACM and CMA nominations! I love the new music I’m making, and I’m so thrilled to release my new song, ‘Home State!’”
Written by Larkins himself alongside Emily Doty and lauded songwriter and producer Seth Mosley, today’s “Home State” paints a story of life on the road and the love of a weary traveler, true to the singer who spent 2024 performing live around the nation opening for acts like Willie Nelson and Priscilla Block as direct support on her Hey Jack Tour. The chorus sings,
I can’t wait / To pull off of that interstate / These tires have had ‘bout all they can take / This road’s been long enough / Honey I’m high beam headlights comin’ back / To my favorite dot on this ole map / Destination love / If home is where the heart is and mine had a license plate / It would say your heart is my home state.
