After months of delays, the Senate Ag Committee has released its Farm Bill text.
Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow has released her version of the ag legislation. The bill includes a five percent increase in reference prices for the Price Loss Coverage Program, which would increase the effective reference price after periods of market elevation.
The draft also calls for a two percent increase of the Agriculture Risk Coveage Guarantee Benchmark Revenue. The bill would provide more than $100 billion toward strengthening the Farm Safety Net and improving the overall quality of life in rural America.
