The head of John Deere was in the hot seat recently over right-to-repair concerns.
In a letter to Deere CEO John May, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren called out the manufacturer over roadblocks to self-repairs. Warren accuses the company of making record profits, but making it harder for equipment owners to service their own machines.
Early this year, the Farm Bureau signed an MOU with John Deere over the right-to-repair. However, groups like the National Farmers Union say it does not solve all the problems associated with making on-farm repairs.
