Senators Roll Out Updates to Cattle Markets Bill

A bipartisan group of senators have rolled out an updated cattle market discovery bill.

The new version keeps mandated regional cash trade requirements, but redefines what regional means. It enlists USDA to set up regions through a formal rule-making process.

U.S. Cattlemen’s Association’s Justin Tupper spoke with RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison about what the updates entail for the bill, where they stand with the updated regulations and what it means for producers and the next steps for the bill.
