U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue wants to hear what farmers have to say. That’s why his “Back to Our Roots” farm tour spent time in Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky this week. On top of his agenda this week: what farmers want to see in the next farm bill. Top concerns included crop insurance, trade, a legal farm workforce, and regulation. Speaking from a tour stop at Hinton Mills in Mays Lick, KY, Perdue addressed the role of crop insurance in the next Farm Bill. Watch the above video to see what he had to say on that very important point.
