With fair season underway, but limited, ag shows are coping with pandemic disruptions. Nebraska Extension professionals are working to adapt 4-H events for 2020’s unique circumstances.
State 4-H program leader Kathleen Lodl says everyone wants things to be back to normal, but fairs are adapting to COVID-19 regulations.
“Everybody is wanting something that is a little back to normal in their communities, and 4-Hers work year round on their projects,” she said. “This gives them a chance to showcase their work and it gives people a chance to see what young people are doing in their communities. So, the fair is a perfect opportunity to come together and have those socially distanced, as safe as possible environments to do that.”
