A rare collection of Coleman lanterns will be auctioned off tomorrow. The collection includes both camping lanterns and older models used to light homes before electricity was readily available across our rural communities.
Auctioneer Ron Stricker says that some of these lanterns could sell for more than $5,000 dollars and he expects to have bidders from around the world.
According to Stricker, “There’s 459 pieces total, and we have everything from the early 1900s all the way up to probably as new as maybe the late 90s... One thing about the Coleman collectors, there’s all ages, and this is still one collection of stuff that all ages of people are still buying.”
The auction kicks off online tomorrow morning at 11 AM Eastern.
