This week is National Farm Safety and Health Week, a time for everyone in agriculture to stop and take account of the procedures they have on the farm keeping everyone safe.
This year’s theme is “Farm Safety Yields Real Results,” a fitting nod to harvest, one of the most dangerous seasons in ag.
The AgriSafe Network is hosting webinars all week to highlight several issues and they have quite a panel of speakers on the agenda.
“We have a big range from information about anhydrous ammonia safety to choosing the right respirator to issues about zoonotic diseases, and agriculture is so diverse, right, across out country so what we do is we look for the experts who have really understood those risks. And, then we bring them on to the farmers and ranchers through the format of this web-based training. So, we work really hard to find the right people and find people who can give you practical tips,” Natalie Roy explains.
