Ag exports hit more than $160.5 billion in 2021, 18% went to China

The U.S. exported more than $160 billion dollars worth of farm goods in the first 11 months of 2021. 18 percent of that went to China.

That is more than $29 billion dollars and more than a third higher than the previous year.

USDA economist Bart Kenner breaks down the major commodities: “Soybeans to China were up 7 percent, $11.9 billion in exports. Corn exports to China were at 421 percent at $408 billion, and wheat, 60 percent increase from 2020 at $750 million dollars.”

Sales of cotton to China were down 24 percent.
