JBS has reached its first settlement in a beef price-fixing case.
Beef buyers sued major processors, claiming they conspired to suppress competition for case-ready and boxed beef. The suit also named Cargill, National Beef, and Tyson.
JBS has agreed to pay more than $52 million dollars.
