A large winter storm has blanketed a wide swath of farm country.
The real attention now is on producers in the Eastern U.S., the South, and the Plains.
According to the National Weather Service, North Dakota could see temperatures as low as -40°, and parts of Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles could dip to 20° below. Despite the cold temperatures, most of the Hard Winter Wheat areas should be protected.
