Nebraska could be the first state to give farmers the “right to repair” their own equipment.
Similar measures in other states have stalled, but the Nebraskan bill was voted out of committee this week and could be debated by the full legislature next month.
The sponsor says that farmers pay the price when a mechanic is sent to a farm to reset a system, he hopes this will put pressure on dealerships nationwide.
