More farmers and retailers are expressing uncertainty about glyphosate deliveries.
Last week Bayer sent out a letter saying a supplier of key raw ingredients suffered a mechanical failure. It will take three months to restore production.
Some suppliers have been told they will only receive 70 percent of what they got last year.
A Minnesota farmer told RFD-TV that a year and a half ago he paid $13 dollars a gallon. Glyphosate now sells for $60 dollars, and a similar herbicide called “Liberty” sells for more than $100 dollars.
