The war in Ukraine is putting more stress on the global shipping crisis. Dozens of ships are stuck in the Black Sea region.
The situation has rocked the grain complex, although the wheat rally seems to have stalled. Even still, a North Carolina professor says that it is the biggest shock to the supply system since the oil crisis of the 70s and it will cause food shortages.
In addition, thousands of Russian and Ukrainian seafarers are stuck in ports around the world. That is causing ship owners to scramble to find replacement crews.
