Florida’s Citrus Forecast Worsens

The forecast for Florida citrus farmers is getting worse and worse this year.

USDA cut its estimate once again, now to 41 million boxes. The cut is a 5% decline from last month and 22% from last season’s harvest. The last time Florida’s was that low was World War II. Many growers place the blame on citrus greening disease.
