Calving season is underway, but North Dakota is being pummeled by a late-spring blizzard. Some forecasters say that it could be the “storm of the century.”
Brent Johnson, a farmer in North Dakota tweeted out a video showing his area already had a foot of snow. The speed of the blizzard has been absolutely incredible. The storm could dump as much as 30 inches in some areas, and pack winds of 50 miles an hour!
Dr. Gerald Stokka from North Dakota Extension spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on this morning’s conditions, how the storm is impacting farmers and ranchers, and if there will be any long-term effects.
