Global food supply faces “multi-year problem” due to Ukrainian war

The war in Ukraine will bring a multi-year problem to the global food supply chain.

The World Food Program Director made the comments after a meeting with the European Union to address food security. The United Nations Agency says the war in driving up prices and disrupting production for many staple crops.

The grain shortage is forcing poor countries in the Middle East and Africa to subsidize food prices, and many humanitarian groups are worried about global hunger.
