A new meat processing facility will help address the shortage of processors in Arkansas.
Williams Baptist University broke ground on the 4,200 square foot, USDA certified facility. It will help train and educate new workers in the field.
The operation expects to harvest 20-25 animals each week once it reaches full capacity, and will also provide work opportunities to students.
The operation is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
