Round two of trade talks between the U.S. and the United Kingdom are underway.
The U.S. Trade Representative says they kicked off the second dialogue by sampling some Scotch whiskey because the U.S. is the world leader for imports.
A new agreement on steel and aluminum is allowing U.S. whiskey and other farm goods to enter the UK.
“We will hear from a wide range of stakeholders and how we can ensure our trade relationship creates broad-based economic opportunity while meeting the challenges of the 21st century, and we will visit some of the most innovative and exciting businesses in the United Kingdom.”
That meeting is taking place in Aberdeen, Scotland.
