Michigan has reported its first case of High Pathogenic Avian Influenza in a commercial poultry flock.
The state confirms a turkey farm has been depopulated of 35,000 birds. The farm is currently working with authorities to make sure there is no disruption to the market while keeping bird health and safety as their number one priority.
More than 37 million birds have been killed by the disease in the U.S. since February.
