Money is on the way for producers impacted by natural disasters.
The Department of Agriculture announced it is giving $6 billion to those affected by major weather events in 2020 and 2021.
It is part of the Farm Service Agency’s new Emergency Relief Program to offset crop yield and value losses.
Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack says he wants to help provide financial support when circumstances are out of farmers’ control. Crops under “insurance” or “NAP coverage” are eligible.
