Ukraine is accusing Russia of shipping stolen grain to Syria

Ukraine is accusing Russia of shipping stolen grain to Syria.

The Ukrainian embassy in Beirut calls the 100,000-ton heist, criminal activity. It was worth more than $40 million dollars and was stolen from Ukraine storage facilities in areas occupied by Russian forces. Russia denies the allegations and Syria has not commented.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is working with Polan to improve grain trade.

Poland has agreed to install more customs and grain inspection personnel at the busiest border crossings. The country will also extend its operating hours there.

Ukraine’s Ag Ministry says that the efforts should open to new routes to three Polish ports which are one of the few options Ukraine has, with the Russian blockades.
