In a surprise move, fertilizer prices are showing a downward trend.
They are still high, but Josh Linville with StoneX says in shipments for late summer, urea is suddenly half the price from its high in March.
Phosphate has fallen several hundred dollars, and UAN is starting to drop. The only category not seeing a substantial decline is anhydrous.
Linville says the shift is unexpected and a little shocking, making for a very hectic spring.
