The House will vote tonight on a bill to address soaring food and gas prices.
The Lower Food and Fuel Costs Act would allow year-round sales of E15. It includes $200 million to fund infrastructure for higher blends. It would also promote the use of precision ag.
Meanwhile, GOP leaders introduced a rival bill, saying the current one does nothing to bring down costs.
The group was led by House Ag Ranking Member GT Thompson. He says current regulations could put small farms out of business. The bill calls for rollbacks to address input costs, WOTUS, and climate issues. The group admits the legislation will likely fall on deaf ears.
