How will President Biden’s proposed fuel tax suspension affect consumers and farmers?

In an effort to provide consumers relief at the pump, President Biden is proposing a three-month suspension of the federal fuel tax and is encouraging states to follow suit.

Executive Director of the Soy Transportation Coalition, Mike Steenhoek spoke with RFD-TV’s Suzanne Alexander about what this means for consumers and specifically, farmers coping with record-high fuel costs, if this suspension could create any negative ripple effects, if he sees states following suit with the measure, and what the next steps are for the proposal.
