A severe weather system, known as a derecho, ripped through South Dakota as well as parts of Iowa and Minnesota this week, bringing winds that damaged crops.
StoneX Chief Commodities Economist, Arlan Suderman spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander about the difference between a derecho and a thunderstorm, the green sky it brought, the damage to crops, and the effect it will have on producers.
