Hungary is declaring an energy emergency.
This is in response to supply disruptions from the war in Ukraine and soaring energy prices in Europe. The Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff says that there probably will not be enough gas in Europe for the fall and winter heating season, not to mention for the harvest.
Hungary is increasing its domestic energy production to make sure there is enough supplies.
