Growers in the Midwest are urged to keep an eye on their crops as many are reporting off-target dicamba damage in soybeans.
Agronomists and researchers at Iowa State say that they have gotten reports of damage to soybeans, as well as complaints regarding pesticide damage to trees. This was all in southern Illinois.
The damage included cupping in leaves and bare trees during the hottest months. Researchers were hopeful for less collateral damage following a significant switch from dicamba to Enlist. They say a higher percentage of acres are now sensitive to off-target movements.
