Flooding possible in several states

Flooding may be hitting several fields in the nation. Now is a great time to implement risk management tools!

Farmers in some Midwestern states, as well as the western U.S., need to be aware of flood warnings and watches.

Heavy rainfall near Milwaukee prompted flood warnings throughout some southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois counties. Flash floods also remain a major concern in southern California and Desert Southwest.

This serves as a good reminder, with some areas expecting more rain coming this month, you can reduce the danger and potential flood damage by building ditches and barriers, creating runoff areas, planting trees, and cleaning debris and sediment off your property.
