The Governor of Oklahoma has signed an executive order to deliver drought relief to farmers in the western part of the state.
According to the latest drought monitor, all 77 counties are covered in drought with a good portion of the state experiencing severe to extreme conditions.
Governor Kevin Stitt says, “Whether it’s inflation or drought conditions, our agriculture producers have been dealing with some tough challenges this year so I am glad that with the help of the legislature we can help provide this relief.”
The executive order includes immediately forming an emergency drought commission and allocating funds where needed.
