Chron News reports- On a recent trip to a ranch in Columbus, Texas Steve Neece brought his 13-year-old son to help him hunt feral hogs.
Neece has been hunting feral hogs for nearly 15 years and on this particular day, he happened to encounter one of the biggest hogs he had ever seen.
Neece’s son, Scout, took down the massive 400-pound beast with a quick, clean shot.
The owner of the ranch was familiar with the hog and told Neece it had been wreaking havoc on his property.
According to the Texas A&M Natural Resources, feral hogs cause an estimated $52 million in agricultural damages every year in Texas.
