The average prices for half of major fertilizers were higher on the month

Fertilizer prices are making moves this week with some seeing gains over last month.

Analysts with DTN found UAN 32 is up 3 percent on the month. Anhydrous, urea, and 10-34-0 are all up 3 percent.

There were some declines, however. Potash fell 2 percent while UAN 28 fell 1 percent. On the year, DAP is up 4 percent, and MAP gained two points.

Geo-political tensions have led to volatility in the fertilizer markets over the last year. While the market impact has cooled, analysts say you should not let your guard down any time soon.
