Environmental groups are in court this week with the EPA over regulations around concentrated animal feeding operations.
The group Food And Water Watch says that the EPA’s approach to regulating CAFOs has been lacking. They had previously presented the EPA with a petition, asking the agency to do more.
However, leaders turned down the request, instead offering to form an advisory committee.
Attorneys for Food And Water Watch say that the agency’s focus is too narrow, and are asking they revamp the permit process.
