Director and actor Robert Redford has decided to sell his horse ranch in Utah. The current asking price for this 30-acre horse ranch is $4,900,000 dollars.
Redford named the ranch after his 1998 movie, The Horse Whisperer. He acquired the property in 1996. The main house is a simple two bed/two bath. The property includes a garden house, a large hay barn, horse stalls, and pastures, as well as a huge garage. All with an old western vibe.
According to the listing, “Horse Whisper Ranch represents your return to a tranquil life, a life filled with beautiful moments and blessed by all the growing things.”

Redford’s passion for horses dates back to his youth. This might explain why he landed so many roles with horses: The Horse Whisperer, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Electric Horseman.
“My first time on a real horse was when I was five or six,” Redford stated according to Horse Nation.
He went on to note, “I developed a connection with horses and appreciation that went beyond the satisfaction of riding horseback.”
