Plains Cotton Growers focus on risk management planning at 2024 annual meeting

Stone X urges U.S. cotton producers to understand the importance of risk management regardless of weather at the 2024 Plains Cotton Growers annual meeting in Texas.

No matter the weather conditions, Stone X wants producers to understand how important it is to have back up plans in place.

Tony St. James with All Ag All Day caught up with the vice president of global education and asked if there is anyone who doesn’t need risk management?

“Well, the simple answer to that Tony is of course not. I think today especially it’s even more crucial. You know we’re fighting tight margins. We’re fighting lots of competition. Farms are getting bigger. Commercial people are consolidating and you know it’s a very different marketplace than it was even ten years ago. So, some of these tools and some of these strategies we have I think are of more importance than they ever have been.”
