We have seen a seasonal surge in fall produce sales here in the U.S., retailers have largely focused on fall favorites like apples, squash, pomegranates, and pears to fill their shelves.
Total numbers for the seasonal favors are up 9% compared to the same time last year. Fruit accounted for 48% of all ads this week.
While grocery stores are leaning in, prices are holding strong with apple juice up 16% and pie pumpkins up 29% year-over-year.
Outliers include butternut squash and large pumpkins which are down 12% and 10% respectively.
