The excitement surrounding the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo wrapped up over the weekend with a teenager and her steer shattering all previous records in the Sale of Champions.

15-year-old Sadie Wampler and her more than 1,300-pound heavyweight European Cross named Snoop Dog competed against 1,500 other steer exhibitors to earn the title of Grand Champion. At auction, Snoop Dog sold for a record $440,000. The previous record was $310,000.

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is the only major stock show in the state that allows all exhibitors to keep their winnings.
