We are gearing up for RFD-TV’s coverage of the 136th Rose Parade presented by Honda by highlighting a group with bragging rights for how long they have been involved.
For 105 years, the Salvation Army Band has been a cornerstone of the Rose Parade, making it the longest-serving band in the parade’s history.
This year, the band is joined by musicians from Canada and England, adding an international flair to the tradition.
But, what makes the group so special?
Its members, spanning generations, come together from local Salvation Army Worship Centers across the U.S. and meet for the first-time during parade week.
They embody the Salvation Arm’s dual mission of faith and community service, providing music and meeting humanneeds worldwide in over 133 countries.
