Tropical Storm Dorian is expected to hit San Juan, Puerto Rico directly. Then, it’s forecast to head toward north Florida and the Carolinas during late Labor Day Weekend.
Farmers will ramp up activities in the next few days trying to get as much fieldwork done as possible prior to the storm’s arrival.
Shipping lanes leading into the busy ports of North Carolina will likely be affected with slowdowns.
The good news; all crops have been adversely affected by drought in the southeast, and the rain could be helpful to some.
