The United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization is asking for $115 million to support Ukrainian farmers.
The Director of Emergencies and Resilience says donations will be critical in avoiding a food crisis this year that could loom into next.
The FAO’s immediate concern is to support the ongoing spring planting in Ukraine and prevent disruption for winter crop harvesting, which usually takes place during June and July.
