USDA’s latest WASDE report shows Florida’s citrus crop is now expected to be the lowest in 81 years, taking into account damage from Hurricane Ian.
The state will produce 28 million boxes for the current season, down 32 percent from last year.
Christina Morton with the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on contributing factors to the decline, the ripple effects from Ian, and how producers can rebuild moving forward.
