The EPA is considering requests from nine states for year-round sales of E15.
A study by Growth Energy found it could save drivers more than $20 billion annually. On top of that, the study shows year-round E15 could put an estimated $36 billion back into Americans’ pockets and create nearly 200,000 jobs.
Recent moves by the federal government, including the President’s emergency authorization of summer E15 sales put an estimated $57 million back into the economy. It came at a time when gasoline sales remained stagnant over the summer. It is estimated that E15 reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 3 percent compared to regular gasoline.
